Stuff, stuff and more stuff

Only 3 more sleeps til I go to Thailand. That has come around sooooo quickly! I am so not organised. Did washing last night - so at least I will have some clean clothes to pack. But I need to clean my apartment before I go cause I have someone housesitting for me. That will have to be tonight's task I think.

I'm going to take my running stuff so that I can go for a few runs while I am away. I am worried about losing some of my fitness. Although I am sure there will be plenty of walking, bike riding and swimming. I'm not too worried about my weight - if I maintain then I will be happy.

I have changed my goal weight to 70 kg. I think that is much more realistic for me than 64kg. I want to be a comfortable size 12, and I think that will be around 70kg. I am 84kg a the moment and wearing a comforatable 14, occasionally a 12 and occasionally a 16. So another size and I will be pretty happy I think. When I get there I am going to get a breast reduction. Even though they are smaller than when I started this journey they are still uncomfortable and way to big. And they are stopping me from buying some really nice clothes - they fit everywhere else except my boobs! So they are going to go. I have a couple of recommendations for surgeons, so in another month or so I will start setting up some appointments to get some advice.

Anyway, that's about all my news for today.

Pics from the weekend

Had a great time in Melbourne. One of my friends from work got married at Phillip Island so spent some time there. Here's some pics with the guys from work - the one on the left taken at the 2005 Christmas party, and the one on the right taken on Saturday night.

My exercise plan for this week

It's been a while since I posted this... but it still goes in my diary so it does happen!

Friday - 45 min walk, 1 hour balance class
Saturday - 20 min run, 1 hour PT
Sunday - 5km run (let's see if I can make it!)
Monday - 45 min walk, 1 hour PT (weights)
Tuesday - 45 min walk, 30 min run
Wednesday - 45 min walk, 45 min spin class, 1 hour PT (weights)
Thursday - 45 min walk, Body Attack Class

I have discovered... muscle tone!

OMG! Yes it is there. Check out those muscles!! LOL! And the collar bones... I have them too! All this exercise is paying off.

New Pics

Here's the before and where I am currently. I think I must win some sort of award for the most hideous before pic - but here it is anyway!

Downhill run to 30kg!!!

I am flying along this week. Diet has been really good and really pushing the exercise. I didn't train Saturday or Sunday (I can't remember the last time I had 2 days off!) and feel great. Did a 1 hour PT weights session and a 30 min run yesterday. I am very very very sore today. My bum hurts! Only 3 weeks til I go to Thailand, so trying to drop 3.5kgs by then which will take me to 30kg lost. So going to be super good. No alcohol, no sugar, cardio every day and 2 or 3 weights sessions a week. It'll be my own little RAID!

One of the trainers at my gym is going to start a running group to train for the City to Surf so I am going to join that. I can only do about 3km before I have to have a little walk, so I have a long way to go, but he assures me it can be done. Apparently getting to where I am is the hardest part, and it should come quickly from here. 14km here I come!

Still job hunting. After the interviews last week I have a bit better idea of what I want to do, so have said no to them, but have another one lined up this week which sounds just about perfect. I'll let you know how it goes.

Some decisions made

I have had a really good week and sorted alot of stuff out in my head. I have hated my job for a while now... I am in an office by myself, I am not busy at all, it is not challenging and I am not learning anything new. I was worried that I couldn't afford to stay in Sydney if I changed jobs, as my rent is subsidised by the company. But I have looked at what jobs are available, and I can do it. There are plenty of jobs around that pay more than what I am getting now and sound alot more interesting. I would have to move into a cheaper apartment, but that is do-able as well. So on Monday I applied for 4 jobs, and I have 2 interviews set up for next week.

I was also worried about my personal training, as Nathan has a job coaching a rugby team Tuesdays and Thursdays (which is when I train), and he does his boxing training Mondays and Wednesday nights. Yesterday I decided that I didn't want to train in the mornings (I don't fancy getting up at 5.30am) and so I would change trainers. I need to make this journey as easy as possible for myself, so I need to train at a time that is conveninent for me. I mentioned this to him yesterday, and he has found a way to fit me in on Mondays and Wednesdays. So now we are both happy!

And as for our weekend away in March, he has cancelled it due to work commitments. So I am disappointed, but also relieved that I don't have to be the third wheel with a new couple! It does say more about him than it does about her though doesn't it? Perhaps I just value our friendship more than he does.

Anyway, so all of that stuff is sorted out, and I have lost the 1kg that I put on on the weekend. I weigh exactly the same as what I did last Thursday so I am pretty happy about that. TTOM as well, so in a day or two I might drop a fair bit more. Hopefully! Feeling really good so going to keep going with the exercise and food plan this week. I have been training for between 1 and 2 hours a day and I am loving it! Although my body hurts all over at the moment after 2 heavy weight sessions. Boxing today, and might go for a walk after work as well if the weather holds out.
